Hotel COVID 19 Safety Protocols

The safety, comfort and health of our guests and employees is the main priority for Sibonne Beach Hotel.  Recognizing the new standards and guidelines for cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting practices, we have implemented protocols to ensure the safe environment across all areas of our resort.

  • All staff that interact with guests will wear Face Masks

  • Social distancing will be required at the Front Desk and throughout 

  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of all high touch areas

  • Hand Sanitizing stations are available throughout the property

  • Rooms will be disinfected and sanitized prior to each guest arrival

  • Cleaning staff will wear PPE (masks, gloves)

  • Bedding, towels, etc. as well as in room equipment and appliances will  be sanitized prior to guest arrival

  • Tables, lounge chairs and beach lounges will be disinfected prior to each use and distanced 6 feet apart

Turks and Caicos Islands Visiting Requirements UPDATE September 1, 2021. 

(note additional updates on government website): The Government is imposing new entry requirements effective 1 September 2021. Preliminary details from the Ministry of Health are as follows: 

Entry vaccination requirements TCI

All visitors to the TCI will need to meet the following entry requirements;

  • have no signs or symptoms of COVID-19

  • have been fully vaccinated with an accepted COVID-19 vaccine: received the complete series or a combination of accepted mRNA or Adenovirus vector vaccines as outlined below AND;

  • have received your last dose at least 14 days prior to the day you enter TCI

  • upload your proof of vaccination to the TCI Assured Portal TCI || Dashboard (turksandcaicostourism.com)

  • meet all other entry requirements (for example, pre-entry test)​

Accepted COVID-19 vaccines in TCI

  • Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty, tozinameran, BNT162b2)

  • Moderna (mRNA-1273, Spikevax)

  • AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD (ChAdOx1-S, Vaxzevria, AZD1222)

  • Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (Ad26.COV2.S)

Pre-entry test result requirements

All travelers 10 years of age or older, regardless of citizenship, must provide proof of a COVID-19 test result to enter TCI.

All travelers must provide one of the accepted types of tests including those who are fully vaccinated. At this time, proof of having a vaccine will not replace a negative test result. Travelers should keep proof of their test results for 14 days after their arrival into TCI. Providing proof of your vaccination in TCI Assured Portal:

In TCI Assured Portal, up to 72 hours before your travel, you must provide:

  • e-certificate/digital certificates

  • certification by Doctor or Government Entity

  • vaccination cards/certificates accepted by national authorities: e.g. EU, US, UK (i.e. CDC, NHS) a vaccination letter signed by a medical professional (physician or registered nurse) on official letterhead with contact details or Authorized Government Entity or printed record from an electronic vaccination database

  • the details of the first dose (date, country and vaccine you received)

  • the details of the second dose if one was required (i.e., for Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty, Moderna/Spikevax, and AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD vaccines)

  • a photo or PDF file of the record of each dose of the vaccination, such as receipts, cards, or confirmations:

    • if you received two doses and they are both recorded on a single card or PDF, upload that same image or file for dose 1 and again for dose 2

    • file formats accepted: PDF, PNG, JPEG or JPG

    • maximum file size for upload: each image upload has a 2 MB size limit

  • preferred file format: if you received a PDF file of your vaccination record, upload the PDF rather than an image, since the PDF is clearer and easier to read

  • these must be in English or a certified translation into English

Bring your original proof of vaccination with you while you travel for inspection.

COVID-19 TESTING IN TURKS & CAICOS – Prior to returning home

 

FOR TRAVEL TO THE USA - UPDATE DECEMBER 6, 2021

Air travelers aged two and older, regardless of nationality or vaccination status, are required to show documentation of a negative viral test result taken within one day of the flight’s departure to the United States before boarding. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. Per the CDC, testing for a negative COVID-19 test is mandatory for all air passengers entering the United States.  The US is accepting both PCR and Antigen tests. As changes are constantly evolving, we ask guests to visit the government site prior to commencement of travel for up to date travel information at  COVID-19 Traveler Information (state.gov) 

 

FOR TRAVEL TO CANADA - UPDATE NOVEMBER 2021

Fully vaccinated travellers who are selected for arrival testing must quarantine in a suitable place until they receive a negative test result. If you are returning to Canada, you must take the test within 3 days/72 hours of your scheduled departure time and you must retain evidence of your test results for the 14 day period that begins on the day you enter Canada.  Use ArriveCAN to provide mandatory travel information before and after your entry into Canada, you can log into ArriveCAN on your lap top or mobile phone. Accepted types of molecular tests for re-entry into Canada: Please visit https://travel.gc.ca for updated information prior to flying from Canada. As changes are constantly evolving we encourage all travellers entering Canada to visit www.canada.ca for up to date information as it pertains to entering Canada. 

  • PCR - Polymerase chain reaction

  • Nucleic acid test (NAT) or Nucleic acid amplification test (NAATs)

  • Reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP)

Antigen tests are not accepted.

COVID-19 ONSITE TESTING

Sibonné Beach Hotel is facilitating on-site COVID-19 Antigen testing through Omnicare Medical Centre to help support safe travel and to assist guests returning to the USA - guests will receive their test results within an 1 hour.  Omnicare Medical Centre representatives are on site every day at 4:00 pm to complete COVID-19 testing, therefore guests are required to register with the Front Desk staff prior to that time. COVID-19 tests can be completed in a common area or guests can request that testing be completed in the privacy of their guest rooms. The cost of testing is $60/person. Please contact the Front Desk Staff to book your COVID-19 test.
